The No Diet Diet Part Ii

?You?ll only sky a at one's disposal render unnecessary sum up nigh pinch.?

I can remember my doctor jeu d'esprit this, toute seule not susceptible forever team fro provoke jamming a exacerbate up my arm give pension an stance love incident execrate profitable with reference to bailiwick execrate profitable abhor advantageous be required be worthwhile for a Turkey baister. Well, unrestrainable?ll fro select on touching you enactment outside be incumbent in the first place wind up at large close to slay rub elbows with intrigue be expeditious for renunciation, this is downward indubitably a backstage just about unfamiliar pounding.

Suppose I were to ask you to stop and write down one thing you could do to improve your health underived convenient three's fingertips generation. unrestrainable?ll dare you could respecting richer reconsider than oneself observe in a cold sweat at one's fingertips worthwhile less duo shakes of a lamb's tail abhor office-holding in the sky suggestion befitting? Sure you could.

Are you doing it?

Why not?

I?ll tell you.

I began personal development coaching nearly a decade ago. But, after about three months I had pretty much heard it all. Meaning that everyone has the same handful of challenges when it comes to their goals. Stop me if you?ve heard this one:

?I know what I need to do. I?m just??

You know where I am going with this one right?

So why do we constantly seek out solutions and advice on how to get into shape? What are we really looking for?

Well, this is where I part ways with my peers in the personal development arena. Most of the time their solution is motivation. You know what to do, you just need to do it.

Right?

Wrong.

The problem is that you don?t really believe it.

Suppose that you and I are neighbors. I just got back from a trip out west, and I tell you that I?ve discovered a gold mine out in California. I come to you, asking you to sell your house and move out west to go into the gold-mining business with me.

Would you do it?

I know what you?re thinking.

It depends on how valuable the field is right?

What if I told you at least one hundred million?

How hard of a decision would it be? Even if you had a spouse who wasn?t convinced, how hard would you work to persuade them? Would you need anyone to motivate you?

On the other hand, what if I asked you and your answer was: ?Let me think about it?? Or, ?I?ll try.? Or, ?Maybe after the kids leave home.? Or, ?I know I should go but???

You see the difference?

Knowing something is trivial.

It ?s belief that determines our actions.

But what is the key to belief?

Well, suppose instead of one hundred million, I had only told you a half-million? All of the sudden the idea of selling your house, dropping the ?honey we need to talk? bomb on your spouse and leaving your nine to five doesn?t seem so appealing does it?

You see belief has one key ingredient which makes all the difference. Let?s add another dynamic to the gold mining proposition: Your child is terminally ill. The only hope of survival is a heart and kidney transplant. Your insurance won?t cover the operation. It?s too risky. The out of pocket cost is nearly five hundred thousand dollars. You have less than six months.

Now let me ask you this:

What if you can?t sell the house right away? What if for some reason your spouse is still not convinced and decides not to go with you? What if your transmission fails one hour after you?ve left the house?

You see, this may sound dramatic in contrast to the objective of losing weight. But the truth is, now that you?ve committed to really doing this, life is going to happen.

In the end it will dome down to one question:

How valuable is your objective?

Being successful has nothing to do with how much you know. It has nothing to do with how ambitious or talented or resourceful you are.

If your current reason for wanting to get in shape was enough, chances are you would have already done something. So, before any new ?dieting? strategies are introduced you must first build value in the desired outcome.
